I will take care of my health. With good health I can do more dharma to serve others. It’s an easy equation to figure out. Others are more important, so I need to take even better care of my health and heal to serve others. Simple. And I will.

Even when Seng Piow goes out to do things, he’ll text message me at the right times to take my medications. I look back & feel very fortunate to have such great students/friends and one of them is Seng Piow who has PURE HEART AND PURE THOUGHTS to always help & assist me/my health. I don’t deserve such devotion, care & love from people. But I attribute it to not me being great but the blessings of my teacher. When my teacher in Gaden was ill in the past I had the great fortune to be there & serve him in all ways until he was much better. Due to this merit, it has returned to me and I get help now. I thank my teacher for all the good I have.

I feel somewhat weird leaving a comment in a public setting like this, but I know you see this page, so I felt it was necessary to say. Before I saw your videos on YouTube, I had a very negative impression of Tibetan Buddhism. I thought it was misguided, fanatical, superstitious, etc.

However, after watching your teachings, I formed a very different impression, and started becoming much …more curious about Tibetan Buddhism in general.

Before long, I started attending my local Dharma center, where I now live with my current teacher. In any case, I just wanted to express my gratitude to you, because I don’t know if I would have come to the Dharma without your teachings.

Please live a very long life because, as I personally can attest, you bring tremendous benefit to people all over the world. ♥

All these happened in Oct 2011, a few months before that I lost my baby boy in my 2nd pregnancy. Since then, I’ve decided to pursue Buddhism but did not know much about the religion, except repeating what my mom has been practicing at home (offerings, joss sticks etc), Kuan Yin and Shakyamuni.

All my understanding about Buddhism started to ‘speed up’ after I found Kechara and I’m so glad there is a Guru that could explain everything in detail and rationalize every single thing that we do actually has a meaning. Rinpoche also changed my view about Dharma into something very practical for today’s living. Though I’ve never met him in person, it is through his teaching I can sense his selfless care towards mankind. I am touched! I started to explore Kechara via the Paradise outlet and had my 1st lesson of mantra chanting there!

I was very positive, but unfortunately I had another miscarriage again last week for my 3rd pregnancy. As a result, I stopped mantra chanting as I am not sure if I have been doing the right thing. Pastor Chia assured me that I did nothing wrong. He even blessed me with mani pills! It was very kind of him!

I am thankful and I hope to get more involved with the activities in Kechara.

I would like to offer You this picture I have drawn. This has popped up in my mind after I have reflected on the following quote from the Lam Rim Chen Mo during one day (at work, while travelling, eating, etc.):

“This is the world,” “This also is the world,” “Everything is suffering,” and  ”I want nothing to do with it.”

It was You from whom I have learned about the Lam Rim. It was because of You that I acquired it, read it, contemplated it, read it again and again. Although I do not have a Spiritual Guide yet, I wish one day I will have one. Although I have never met You in person Your teachings reached me and benefited me. This realization stems from You. Therefore I would like to offer it to You.

A short commentary I would compile for the picture would start with the following from the Lam Rim:

“Alas, the worldly have eyes yet are blind;
Although you see the obvious,
You do not think about it at all.”

Then I would say:

We do not think about it at all.

We are naïve like the drawing of a child.
Everything is impermanent.
Renounce this world, it is suffering.

I wish others would benefit more from Your teachings than I could.

My heart was filled with joy when I opened up my mail box tonite to find an email from you, my most precious Guru. I hope that your health is much better as I have been following your blog and what my friends, your students have been sharing with me, and do know that you have been having problems with your liver. My mum had the same problem for the last 2 years, staying in the hospital more often then at home but through prayers to the Buddhas and Lord Setrap, and with medications, she appears to have the problem under control at the moment. I hope it will be the same in your case too.

I realize that my dharma knowledge is very shallow, my merits are very little and my karmic seeds have not ripen for me to be near my Guru, you, at the moment. But I am slowly but surely plodding along the spiritual path through the teachings and guidance from you via your blog. I continue to support where and when I can on all of Kechara’s projects and roadshows for I know, one day soon, I will have enough merits to be back with you, to serve you and the dharma. You are definitely a Guru who has touched my heart and soul, and one of the few people in this life that has made a totally lasting and deep impression on my mind too.

I have been tuning in to your youtube teachings almost daily since coming to know about you and Kechara house abt a month ago. You teachings is the most comprehensive I have ever come across and I deeply admire the way you spread the dharma through thorough explanation even on topics such as the significant of Mala. I am deeply grateful as your teachings have greatly enhanced my faith and removed doubts in a much needed time.

While I have no recollection of past lives, I think what reasonates with me is that it accounted for the differences we experience from birth; the reason why some are born disprivileged with no chance for recourse. I recalled that in one of your teachings, you said that if the sufferings were indeed for a reason/purpose (by a creator), what reason could that be? Those were my exact thoughts for years and why I felt only Buddhism provides an answer to these questions.

We are now in the process of sourcing for these statues, and find out the related costs. The actual order will be placed when funds permit.

I hv read about your health problem in the Kechara newsletter, I have reading and watching your books and DVD and feel thankful about your contribution towards the society.

But unfortunately, you are not so well now. I sincerely would like to recommend to Rinpoche to attend the \”Qigong class\” which I\’m attending to cure my sickness. There are plenty of Qigong in town, but this is a very different one which has helped to cure alot of patients even with cancer.

So I really hope that Rinpoche don\’t delay and try to spare out some time to join in and practise this Qigong quickly so that you can recover fast and continue your destiny in Buddhism.
